Dark brown velvety buds open to gorgeous, scented white flowers in spring and sporadically again in autumn. Is evergreen in all but very harsh winters. Small tree/bush with a height and spread to 2-3m. Best in a sheltered spot in sun or part shade. Raised in New Zealand by Mark Jury. Very special. Now re classified but was once a Michelia.
