Ribes mensiezii 3lt
Extremely thorny relative of the gooseberry. Shrub from California often found in canyons. Hairy toothed lobed leaves but the flowers are amazing tubular drooping consisting of reflexed sepals of red/purple and surrounding the white petals. Very ornamental in flower and when not an excellent barrier. Can lose the foliage in hot dry Summer so best in humusy semishade.
