When in flower this instantly makes you realise it is a member of the Tradescants. Tall stems with the typical flowers spaced up them unlike Tradescantia which tend to be in a cluster. Warm well drained spot can self seed but will flower in first year from seed. Always worth collecting the seed if inclement conditions and weather see it off in the Winter. A plant we cannot bear to be without!
