An evergreen shrub with grey green leaves with paler undersides. Can grow up to 3m. In summer, flowers with four red petals, white on the outside, appear in the leaf axils these are edible with a sweet peppery taste, Our plant in the garden has produced fruit the last two years. Sunny spot although ours is in semi shade.
