This shrub differs from other members of this family in the fact as the name suggests it has long narrow leaves. Semi evergreen leaves. In early Spring on established plant long cream/yellow racemes of flower appear which later form long drupes of reddish berries. Needs a semi shade site out of cold winds and in ground that does not get really wet in Winter.
