Talks
Our fee is £40 for a talk/lecture plus travelling expenses. If you require more than an hour and a half fee will be more.
We will bring plants along for demonstration and sale and this could be up to 4 danish trolleys. Most talks are with a hands on approach and you will get to see and touch the real plants.
Subjects:
Hardy Exotics and creating microclimates. A talk about various hardy exotic plants incoporating plants suitable for a wide variety of situations in the garden. Also How to acheive the growing environment for some of these plants.
Bamboos & Grasses. A talk about the husbandry and culture of these wide range of plants and their use in the garden.
Ferns and tree ferns. A talk about this group of plants which has been with us since prehistoric times. Propogation husbandry and varieties avilable covered in this talk.
Shade plants and semi shade. This is one for plantaholics a wide range of plants covered in this subject.
Colin's Choice. Another one for the plantaholics covering some of the plants we grow and propogate. Basically a plantsmans choice some rarities covered in this one.
Madeira a January Visit parts 1 and 2. Two seperate slide presentations of a visit we had to Madeira in January 2009 covering plants and gardens in Madeira.
Unusual Propogation. Some of our more unusual plants and methods of propogation.
There are several other talks we do, get in touch with us to find out if we can cover a subject that interests your club. We can also do quiz'es on identification.
